The Irish Fiscal Advisory Council has warned that Budget 2025 repeats Ireland’s past mistakes of pumping billions into the economy when it is at full employment.
The Council is responsible for providing an honest and independent assessment of how the Government is managing the public finances and the economy. In today’s Flash Response to the Coalition’s giveaway budget, it said the “very large budget package” would “add to pressures and widen the underlying deficit.”
