Opposition TDs have voiced fierce opposition to the Government’s proposed solution to the Dáil speaking rights row, with one TD vowing to oppose their “stinking, rotten, dirty deal with Michael Lowry”.
Good opposition makes the Government better. That is how it is supposed to work.
This time, there’s nobody else to blame if it all goes sideways.
Lowry is now so popular there that he even has five county councillors, including his son, Micheál, on his side, so enabling voters to tell them apart: like fada, like son.
In Ireland, the choice is between energy, experience, and change. Those aren’t ideas, but marketing slogans.
