A quick scan of Irish headlines in relation to the deposit return scheme, due to be introduced from February 1st, shows that the Irish media have, predictably, been utterly fawning:
Said he’s glad climate policies aren’t a “divisive issue” in Ireland.
White privilege.
The Labour Party doesn’t have many electoral niches left. This might be one they’d be happy to volubly occupy.
Perhaps, after all, it’s Ireland’s Green Party which needs to do better.
“Our response…will define this nation.”
“I think it is only right.”
An increase in flooding?
Irish Climate Minister Eamon Ryan defends his idea of building 1,200 homes on Dublin’s coastal port, despite his party’s warnings of flooding and sea-level rise due to climate change devastating coastal cities.
The Commission is the problem, not the person appointed to it.
One thing to take into account here is that these figures are based on Ireland having an average winter, like last year’s, with only a few relatively short periods of severe cold.
