Seven male migrants have been found inside a truck trailer in Rosslare Europort in Co. Wexford this morning.
The men are now in Wexford Garda Station and are receiving medical attention, after they were discovered around 6:00 a.m. this morning when the truck entered the port.
The truck trailer has been taken by Gardaí for examination, and Gardaí say they are now investigating potential breaches of immigration law.
In January of this year, 14 migrants were found hidden in a refrigerated truck at Rosslare Europort – nine men, three women, and two girls.
However, within 2 days of that discovery being made, at least 8 of the 14 migrants went missing from State services.
Gardaí said they were not looking to locate the missing 8, as they “are not under criminal investigation.”
A man was subsequently arrested after being suspected of having connection with the arrival of the migrants.
A 30-year-old man who Gardaí believe to be from Eastern Europe has been arrested in connection with the suspected human trafficking of 14 people into Rosslare port last week.#gripthttps://t.co/AWUvSQo7jm
