A diversity workshop held by the Revenue Commissioners was used to “railroad” the use of pronouns by public servants, and insist that this was essential to showing allyship and inclusivity, employees of the state body have told Gript.
Staff members say that they felt they were being pressured into using pronouns for email signatures, and they were told it was “really, really important” to “do those little things” such as adding pronouns to show “allyship” and to be “inclusive”.
