Yours truly will not, this week or any other, be making a pilgrimage to the Cinema to watch the Barbie movie. That is not because of any ideological objection to the film, or to its existence, but for the simple reason that it wasn’t made for me.
40ish-year old straight blokes will attend, I suspect, for two reasons: Dragged to it by their daughters, or dragged to it by their wives or girlfriends, or indeed women they hope to make their wives or girlfriends.
