As the Dáil rise for the lengthy summer holidays tomorrow, the Sinn Féin abortion bill is one of several high-profile proposals that will be back on the table come September when TDs return after a long break.
The bill, which seeks to scrap the 3-day wait before abortion, only passed second stage in the Dáil with support from a small number of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael TDs including Taoiseach, Micheál Martin, and Tánaiste, Simon Harris, has been sent to the Oireachtas Health Committee.
