I found myself idly wondering yesterday, as I perused the pages of the Sunday Independent, what the Press Council would make of an article in Gript Media that cheered the active sabotage of IPAS centres, or other criminal actions designed to undermine Ireland’s immigration and refugee accommodation system.
It’s a moot point – such an article will never be published in this pages for so long as I remain in post – but I suspect censure would be swift both from the Press Council and very possibly, under existing incitement to violence legislation, from the Gardai.
