The mob has captured Dáil Éireann. The vast majority of Irish people – who quite simply do not believe in transgenderism – are now politically unrepresented on this issue. Moreover, it is no longer a matter for mere politicians. They have had their worthless say, next comes a challenge before the Supreme Court on the constitutionality of this absurd and undefined phrase, “a gender other than male or female”. And the real wonder is that the university graduate who authorised that ridiculous wording is now deputy leader of Fine Gael and might well become party leader and taoiseach.
