The European Commission has published its latest report on housing in the 27 member states. It is somewhat outdated given that it is based on statistics from 2024 but nonetheless provides some insight into what it is considered to be one of the main issues facing Europe, and certainly the Irish state.
Perhaps the main takeaway, judging by media reports over the past 24 hours, is the large number of people who are allegedly living in what the Brussels statisticians describe as “under-occupied homes.”
