A man who was so intoxicated that pepper spray and the use of batons were “ineffective” at subduing him has avoided jail after receiving a suspended sentence at the Circuit Criminal Court this morning.
Kabir Alli (29), of Claddagh Park, Tom Bellew Avenue, Dundalk, was charged with possession of a knife as well as criminal damage in relation to damage he inflicted to a Garda station cell after his arrest.
