A man has been arrested outside the Pro Cathedral in Dublin City centre in connection to the assault of another male.
A Garda spokesperson told Gript that,“Gardaí are investigating the assault of a man (40’s) that occurred on Marlborough Street / Cathedral Street, Dublin 1, this afternoon, Monday 12th August 2024, at approximately 1.10pm.”
“The injured male was conveyed to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.”
Gardaí says, “A second male (40’s) was arrested in connection with the incident, and is currently detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in the Dublin City Centre area.”
Investigations are ongoing.
