Man Arrested After Broad Daylight Knife attack in Limerick City

A man has been arrested after a broad daylight knife attack in Limerick City.

The attack took place on Henry Street with eyewitnesses reported as saying “There were two fellas squaring up to each other. One of them had a knife. I heard shouts of “let’s go, let’s go”.

“There was traffic going past and people around. It was crazy. The unarmed fella tried to kick the fella with a knife. The guy with the knife was dancing around like a boxer and swung at him with the knife.”

A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and investigations into the incident – part of which was captured on video – are underway.
