Sligo-Leitrim local representative Bernie Linnane is advertising the badges on her Twitter page which she said she will send for free to those who DM her an address.
The outspoken abortion advocate was recently introduced by party leader Ivana Bacik as Labour’s new Local Area Representative for the Manorhamilton Electoral Area.
Linnane said she was “proud” to have been selected by the party and that it was her intention to run in the upcoming local elections.
In an article featured in Leitrim Live, Linnane is quoted saying, “The two recent referenda have shown that there is an appetite for change amongst the voters of Leitrim”.
“There is an appetite for an alternative vision, there is an appetite for a fairer, more equal society. I would be honoured to stand for that equal society, to stand for that vision and to stand for change.” she said.
Gript reached out to the Labour Party several times for comment but at the time of publication we are yet to receive a response.
