Government Departments have paid nearly €24 million euro to Irish print media, newspapers and magazines, for advertising since 2019.
The figures, which were released in response to parliamentary questions by Independent TD Carol Nolan, show that every major newspaper in Ireland, and many local newspapers, over the period accepted advertising directly from the various Departments.
