Ireland granted 18,367 employment permits in the first seven months of 2023 according to government figures.
Indian nationals were the highest number of successful applicants with 6,868 permits being issued.
Next in line were Filipino nationals who represented 1,535 of the employment permits, while 1,608 permits were issued to Brazilians.
Pakistani nationals were granted 934 permits.
967 employment permits were refused while 403 applications were withdrawn.
Broken down by country, Dublin was the biggest area represented with 8,770 permits granted, Cork was in second place with a total of 1,534, with Kildare receiving 1,138.
The majority of the permits were issued for Health and Social Work Activities with a total of 6,192.
2,769 permits were granted for Information and Communication Activities, 1,503 permits were granted for Accommodation and food Services Activity, 1,336 for Financial and Insurance Activities, and 1,101 for Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishing.
