Ireland’s health service digital infrastructure is “really stone‑age compared with the rest of Europe,” Fianna Fáil TD Dr. Martin Daly told the Oireachtas Health Committee during a hearing on priorities for the next national cancer strategy.
The Roscommon-Galway TD made the remark as the committee heard evidence from international experts and Irish cancer organisations about how the HSE’s outdated and fragmented digital systems are now undermining cancer care.
