Evidence provided to an Oireachtas committee hearing has revealed a significant operational barrier to enforcing Grace’s Law, with Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly confirming that one in four Garda pursuits involving scrambler bikes and similar vehicles are blocked by Garda Headquarters.
The disclosure came during the Joint Committee on Justice, Home Affairs and Migration, where members questioned senior Garda management on the practical enforcement of the new regulations targeting scrambler bikes, high‑powered e‑bikes and e‑scooters.
