Bud Light row: ‘Conservative Dad’s’ new beer ad racks up millions of views

Budweiser is one of the world’s leading beer brands, but this month, its advertising for Bud Light caused considerable controversy when it used transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney to try to boost its sales.

Reports of an immediate drop in Bud Light sales appeared across the media, with critics claiming consumers were tired of efforts to apply ‘woke marketing’ to everything, but it remains to be seen whether the effect will be lasting or if Bud Light will bounce back.

It’s also worth noting that Bud Light Sales had already been decreasing rapidly in the past few years – but another factor leading to a further slump won’t help the marketing department.

Similarly, while the share price of Anheuser-Busch which owns Budweiser, took a dive during the controversy, it had been soaring after a significant rally last month.

Either way, one man may be seeking an opportunity in the ‘go woke, go broke’ maxim that left brands like Gillette facing consumer kickback, and he’s launched a new beer called Ultra Right Beer .

“Stop giving money to corporations that hate our values,” he says in a promotional video that has racked up 2.3 million views in just one day.

Seth Weathers, a conservative dad who has more than 30,000 followers on Twitter,  says “America’s been buying beer from a company that doesn’t even know which restroom to use.”

“That’s why I created Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right 100 per cent woke-free beer.

“As Conservatives we’re constantly getting hit in the face, left and right, by the woke mind virus, but the last place we want it is in our beer.”

“Stop giving money to woke corporations that hate our values.”

“If you know which bathroom to use, you know what beer you should be drinking. Stop giving money to woke corporations that hate our values.”

“And to the rest of you woke corporation’s stay the f**k away from our kids.”

He promises the beer will “taste like freedom”.
