The suspect in the stabbing murder of three children in Southport last Monday has been named as Axel Rudakubana.

Rudakubana was named after a judge sitting at Liverpool Crown Court lifted reporting restrictions on the accused.
The 17-year-old Cardiff born Rwandan stands charged with the murders of three little girls, Alice Dasilva Aguiar (9), Elsie Dot Stancombe (7), and Bebe King (6).
He is also charged with the attempted murder of 10 other people including 5 children and 2 adults who remain in a critical condition.
The weapon allegedly used during the attack was described as a curved kitchen knife.
GB News reporter Charlie Peters said that the judge had agreed to a press application to name Rudakubana who will turn 18 years of age in less than a week.
Peterson reported that the accused “was silently rocking in the dock” during the hearing and that he kept his face covered apart from occasionally showing his eyes.
Rudakubana also refused to confirm his name to the court even when asked to do so with a nod.
