Gardaí have confirmed a man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Belmayne yesterday, where it is alleged that a woman was pushed off a balcony during an incident at an apartment.
A spokesperson for AGS said that Gardaí continue to investigate an alleged incident of serious assault, which occurred near Main Street, Belmayne, Dublin 13 on Monday 28th September 2026.
“A male (aged in his 20’s) has been arrested today, Tuesday 29th September 2026, in connection with the investigation. He is currently detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda station in the Dublin area. Investigations ongoing.”
Earlier it had been reported that the woman in her 30s, who was found with serious injuries on the ground outside apartments on Main Street in Belmayne, had been pushed.
Gardaí believe the woman was “pushed” off the balcony during an incident at the property, according to a senior Garda source familiar with the incident, the Irish Times reported.
Gardaí were alerted to the incident beside a residential property just after 3.40pm and the woman was taken to Beaumont Hospital.
A garda spokesperson said a family liaison officer has been appointed and that investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí have asked anyone who was near Main Street, Belmayne, Dublin 13 on Monday 28 September between 3pm and 3.45pm to come forward.
