Gardaí are investigating the deaths of a mother and a newly born baby at a house in Co Tipperary.
Their bodies were discovered at a house in an estate in Carrick-on-Suir early this afternoon by a man who went to the house.
Gardaí are understood to be treating the case as a personal tragedy, and the woman is believed to be the mother of the baby.
Detectives say they are following all lines of inquiry.
A family liaison officer has been appointed by An Garda Síochána.
