Ireland’s national pandemic ‘evaluation’ is very keen for the public to understand that it is not an exercise in apportioning blame or examining the pandemic response with the benefit of hindsight. This is because, as they repeatedly state, such an approach just isn’t really all that helpful.
Instead, it is all about learning lessons so that we can do better next time ‘round.
