There’s a reasonable chance that, over the weekend, you might have encountered the news that former RTE employee Ryan Tubridy shared that he needed counselling and therapy after his fall from grace two years ago following revelations about his pay.
Somebody deciding to get mental health supports after a traumatic experience, of course, is nothing to be ashamed of. Indeed, it should probably be encouraged. If he’d left it there, we could all have said “fair play to you Ryan, for looking after your mental health”, and moved on.
