It seems obvious, but clearly isn’t, that the best way to undermine public trust in philanthropy would be secrecy. Pumping money into organisations and causes, especially controversial ones, while having little to say about it, still less any way for an interested member of the public to track it, seems unwise given the tense times we appear to be living through.
One organisation spending plenty on causes is ‘The One Foundation’, which describes itself thusly on its website:
