Last Wednesday, April 23, another new company registered an application with Dublin City Council seeking to know if a proposal to accommodate persons who have applied for International Protection at a premises at 64/65 Strand Street Great is an exempted development under Class 20F.
The street itself has been there a long time and possibly was in a better state back in 1681 when Humphrey Jervis who bequeathed his name to the adjacent Jervis Street was granted a lease on the spot where the less than salubrious building now stands. Anyone passing it by on the way up or down Capel Street, Jervis Street or Liffey Street would not be tempted to take a diversion.
