The Fine Gael Ard Fheis was held over the weekend, and one of the most striking pledges made by the party’s new leader, Simon Harris, was his commitment to build over 250,000 new homes over 5 years.
This amounts to an average of 50,000 houses per year, although Harris has said that this won’t be a steady figure – there might be more or less here or there.
