NPHET has now admitted that even fully vaccinated people carry a viral load similar to that of the unvaccinated. In a sane world, this would signal the abrupt end of the vaccine passport system.
But unfortunately for all of us, sanity in our society left to get cigarettes around January 2020 and hasn’t been seen or heard of since.
Dr. Cillian De Gascun, who is Chair of the NPHET Coronavirus Expert Advisory Group, took to Twitter yesterday to explain why Ireland had such high Covid case numbers despite our high rates of vaccination (the highest in the EU, as it happens).
🇮🇪 #Ireland has now vaccinated 90% of over 16-year-olds, making it the 🇪🇺 country with the highest proportion of #vaccinations, writes @_MollyKilleen. https://t.co/gS4bluZY1Z

During the thread, De Gascun said:
“Whilst vaccination reduces the risk of Delta infection, fully vaccinated individuals have viral loads similar to unvaccinated & can efficiently transmit infection in household settings, including to fully vaccinated contacts.”

This is absolutely remarkable, considering the fact that unvaccinated people are still unable to enter a whole variety of settings, including restaurants, pubs, cinemas, and more, unless they have the government-issued cert supposedly confirming that they are “safe” from Covid-19.
Assuming you’re not vaccinated and have not caught and recovered from Covid-19 in the last 6 months, the only way you can live a normal life like a dignified human being is with a negative PCR test, which is only valid for 3 days, and costs about €90 for an “express” one to get your results in a few hours. In other words, it’s a ludicrous expense and inconvenience which no ordinary person could be expected to incur on a regular basis.
These rules are set to be lifted on October 22nd. But the government just voted to extend their emergency powers until January, allowing them to reintroduce these rules at any stage over the next 3 months.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has hinted that the “exceptional” emergency Covid powers seized by the government may not be temporary, as the government votes to extend them until January.#gripthttps://t.co/wGjQjtpq76

The easing of Covid-19 restrictions originally planned for October 22nd may be delayed, the government has hinted, after members of NPHET expressed concern over recent virus trends.#gripthttps://t.co/zFCjjzf92d

And moreover, there have already been calls from politicians, industry heads and academics to do just that.
Kingston Mills admits the waning of vaccine effectiveness and increase in breakthrough infections, calling for a rolling out of boosters for all over 60. Despite this decreasing effectiveness, he then goes on to call for an extension and expansion of vaccine apartheid. pic.twitter.com/ATUkbpTMp1

The reasoning behind this policy is that, allegedly, as an unvaccinated person, you may walk into a pub and spread the virus to others, thus hurting them.
This always seemed ludicrous to begin with considering the whole point of the vaccine is to protect the recipient from serious illness and/or death. Assuming person A is vaccinated and person B is not, what possible danger does B post to A? Even if you receive the virus, you’re supposed to be protected – so why the paranoid terror?
Moreover, we’ve known that so-called “breakthrough infections” were always possible, and now it seems that even fully-vaccinated people can spread and catch Covid to a similar degree that unvaccinated people can – or at least, that’s what NPHET are telling us.
If that’s true, what in the name of hell is the vaccine passport doing? Apparently your vaccine fanatic mate on his 32nd booster jab is almost as likely to spread the virus as someone who hasn’t received their first dose yet. So what purpose is discrimination at the door serving exactly?
Once again, NPHET have totally undermined their own argument and exposed the vaccine cert system for what it is: lunacy.
