On Tuesday, the Dublin City planning authorities responded to an objection by the Mount Street Residents Group to a proposed IPAS centre at 33-41 Mount Street Lower, as reported here last month. Both the residents and the contractors are anxious to know whether the proposal is an exempted development and both have been requested to submit additional information to support their conflicting arguments.
That proposal is from a company called Lower Mount Street Accommodation Services and the residents have understandably had pretty much enough of the diversity brought to their community by the International Protection Office just a few steps up the road and the occasional tented camp supported by leftist NGOs.
