The Government is perhaps slowly but surely coming to understand that many of the people it employs or otherwise funds to “end racism” in Ireland have much grander plans in mind for this little island at the edge of the Atlantic. Why content yourself with ending racism when you could “redefine” the country instead?
Independent Ireland TD Ken O’Flynn brought this fact to Taoiseach Micheál Martin’s attention late last week when he asked him about racism rapporteur Ebun Joseph’s comments on the Irish language.
