Yesterday, South Dublin County Council informed Councillor Linda de Courcy and a resident of Saggart that they had issued a warning letter regarding the “material change of use and material alteration of the Convention Centre.” The warning letter was issued under the Building Control Act.
The Convention Centre is part of the Citywest Campus that was bought by the State from Tetrarch in June for €148.2 million and is currently being used to accommodate an estimated 800 of the more than 1,200 asylum seekers currently in residence at Citywest including the Citywest Hotel.
