A 13 year-old boy has allegedly died from heart complications after getting the second dose of Pfizer’s Covid-19 jab.
Jacob Clynick reportedly had no known medical conditions, but died three days after the shot with an enlarged heart and fluid surrounding it.
His aunt, Tami Burages, took to Twitter to explain the circumstances around her nephew’s death, insisting that, whilst she is pro-vaccination, the Center for Disease Control needed to investigate the incident.
Posting a picture of his vaccination card, Burages said “the initial autopsy results (done Friday) were that his heart was enlarged and there was some fluid surrounding it. He had no known health problems. Was on no medications.”
Burages told her followers she had already vaccinated her 14 year-old son “as soon as it was available”, saying vaccines are “mostly safe”, but that “Jacob is dead now”.
“There have been other cases of myocarditis in young men receiving their 2nd Pfizer shot. Have others died from it in the United States or is my nephew the first?
“I think parents should be warned of the risk.”
Health officials in the US are now investigating a possible link between Covid-19 vaccines and heart inflammation in younger males, after seven vaccinated boys between the age of 14 and 19 suffered from a “very rare type of heart inflammation” according to CNN.
“Before we start vaccinating millions of adolescents and children, it’s so important to find out what the consequences are,” Dr. Cody Meissner of the Food and Drug Administration said.
The CDC has said it will “present details about more than 300 confirmed cases of myocarditis and pericarditis reported to the CDC and FDA among the over 20 million adolescents and young adults vaccinated in the United States.”
Some 600,000 children have been vaccinated within a week of the CDC approving the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine for children as young as 12.
