A professional basketball player from the US has been jailed for three years and six months after he smuggled €381,000 worth of cannabis into Ireland via Thailand.
Kristaps Kambala (22) of Lovelady Court, Henderson, Nevada, was apprehended at Dublin Airport after he was seen acting suspiciously at the arrivals area of Terminal 2 on the 23rd of June last year.
