Police in Northern Ireland are investigating the deaths of two women and a man in a suspected murder-suicide in Newtownabbey, Co. Antrim.
The PSNI and ambulances were called to the scene of a stabbing at a residence in Newtownabbey, north of Belfast, at 11pm on Friday, where a woman was immediately pronounced dead.
Another property nearby was also searched, with officers finding another dead woman and an unconscious man who died shortly afterwards.
“As officers carried out further inquiries, they attended a residential property in the Glenville Road area,” Detective Chief Inspector Caldwell told media.
“An unconscious man was located in the property. Despite the provision of first aid, the man was pronounced dead. On searching the property, another deceased woman was located.”
Police confirmed they are not searching for any other suspects in relation to the deaths.
“While we have launched a murder investigation, we are not looking for anyone else in connection with these incidents which we believe are connected,” the PSNI stated.
