So, just a week after triumphant reports announced that Spain had seen its first weekday powered entirely by renewable energy, the Iberian peninsula was plunged into darkness as the result of an enormous blackout. Two days later, more and more fingers are pointing at the effect a rushed and reckless renewables transition has had on the grid.
Naturally, the Iberian authorities have been slow to reach that conclusion.
