It’s difficult to write about this topic without seeming a bit bitchy, but there’s something up with the largely online view of East Asian women a lot of us in the West have. I’ve often heard guy friends guffaw at how attractive they find Korean women in particular – and many Korean women are beautiful – but the elephant in the room is that behind a lot of the media hype surrounding this beauty, there is plastic surgery: shedloads of it.
I find it interesting how much attention face-hammering American Clavicular gets, because I saw his “looks maxxing” efforts play out daily during my time in South Korea.
