On December 16, the British conservative think tank Policy Exchange published a document outlining the reasons why there needs to be an emergency census conducted in England to measure the actual level of population change since 2021.
The author, Dr. Rakid Ehsan, claims that the 2021 Census for England and Wales (Northern Ireland held a separate one, and the last Scottish census was in 2022) is outdated. The reason a new census is required is due to the “unprecedented level of immigration-driven population growth,” but also because it was held during the Covid Panic and what he claims were methodological flaws regarding information on national identity.
