To encourage integration, migrant families should not be permitted to secure an exemption for their children from learning Irish in school, a TD has said.
Speaking to Gript Media today, Meath West TD Peadar Tóibín suggested that the State provide a targeted syllabus for late arrivals, arguing that the language could act as a “unifying issue.”
