TD: Referendum failed due to government “arrogance”

The Care and Family referendums were defeated on Friday due to government “arrogance” and not the “far-right”, a Fine Gael TD has insisted.

In an exclusive interview with Gript on Monday, former Justice Minister and Fine Gael veteran Charlie Flanagan – who supported a ‘Yes/Yes’ vote himself – reacted to a clip of journalist Alisson O’Connor, who claimed that “someone very senior in Fine Gael” had told her the referendum was rejected in some working class areas due to the influence of “far-right elements.”

Now, that they have suffered a devastating and embarrassing defeat, the leaders’ reins are less taut, from the shock of it. We are hearing a little. Varadkar is an anti-Irish and anti-Ireland tyrant, who wants to see both gone. Martin was a Christian Brothers’ boy once, but has rejected Ireland, its people and their history in favour of imported dominion over them. They have given the vote to all they brought in, to put their parties ahead in the council elections. The ‘refugees’ should have no vote, because they do not have an informed opinion, beyond blind allegiance to the parties who gave them preferential treatment over the Irish on council housing waiting lists here. We do not even know their identity. We cannot even verify the identity of those with passports. Many are deportees who are still here. We need the housing that they have been given, for the Irish. We need our classrooms back. We need to get hospital treatment. Bucket loads of money squandered on ‘refugees’ that should be spent on Irish needs. Alisson O’Connor is brazenly reinforcing the lies and arrogance of the radical godless, feminists. She is defensive and vengeful in her untruth, because the results show that reason has overcome the propaganda of the grossly overfunded NGOs, full of godless feminist airheads, who have no allegiance to truth or common sense. Defund the NGOs. Nobody wants them. It would rid us of the tyranny of the radical feminists and the wokes. Rational debate must be allowed.

Totally paranoid about the “far right” which doesn’t actually exist in Ireland

It does exist. It’s the 70% of the population who believe in free speech. Equality before the law. Two genders. No censorship. Not teaching perversion to children. The right to own property. Ireland as the national home of the Irish people. That’s us far right fascists for you

Yes, the Gov “lost” the referenda because it was arrogant.
Because if it had NOT been so arrogant, but sensible, there would never have been a referendum.
.
These referenda demonstrate and prove the incompetence of those in Government.
No votes of any preference for any of them next time!

This is disgusting! Basically, I read this, that he is saying that if the government was less arrogant, then they could get us to vote for what they want, no matter how wrong it is. Why? Because if it is wrong, as these two changes were, they would have to appear less arrogant, but tell us the lies anyway, to get us to vote yes for these two referendums! They are already doing this with many subjects at the moment!

It failed because the kakistocracy have a globalist agenda which involves wiping out our country and our people. We knew where this fitted in on the agenda and it was rejected because we know what these marxists are up to. Arrogance is just a byproduct of this totalitarian approach. Most people dont want this government and the result is reflective of this.

Maybe some good will come from this massive waste of public money if more people wake up to the damage being done by our democratically elected representatives delegating power and control to unelected NGOS.

Also Sinn Fein supporters might finally wake up to the fact that their party has been hijacked by the ultra woke brigade. Unfortunately I think that Sinn Fein supporters are slow learners.

The Far right doesnt exist here yet but it would be healthy for democracy to have elements of all political partys.I have no shame in saying i would vote Far Right.I want this country cleansed of all illegal immigrants and every immigrant and migrant since the 1990s reviewed. No Welfare for foreigners who never worked. We have seen when FG and FF get power too long they start to get so arrogant that they forget who has employed them.Sein Fein are no different and will suffer big next election.Mary Lou sounds more and more like Bert and Ernie of FF/FG everyday.Helen McEntee has no supporters and is a hateful woman angry that her constituents don’t want her ,let alone the country.Hence she passes bills nobody wants but the Dail keeps voting them through.
Eamon Ryan will be buried next election.

Health sector broken and full of underskilled migrants and overpaid incompetant irish management.
Gaurds hate McEntee and Harris and the policing shows it “what policing”
Farmers want their own political party and they will move that vote away from FF and FG when the option arises.
Nobody wants these clowns talking about global war and foreign policy “neutral”
Nobody wants NGOs taking tax payers money or having a voice in the Dail
Nobody wants illegal migrants and taxpayer money paying for them or to the Healy Rays “Wake up Kerry”
People dont want housing estates sold to large corporations or given to non Irish.
Nobody wants light sentences for rapists and paedos bar the Judges and Government.
Decades of bad policy and its never been so bad with the spiteful bunch of Irish hating McEntee,Varadaker,Martin,Ryan and many more at the Helm.
So Far Right is necessary. Here we come

Well said Shane but what’s disgusting when they’re gone, they’ll get a nice pension as if they’ve done their Country a service.
Any properly ran Country in the world would have them all before a tribunal.
And this should go back decades.
I’ve been listening to Martin’s waffle/dodging his own shadow since the 80’s in Cork & I still can’t comprehend how he gets re-elected each time.

I wondered in 2008 where the backbone of the Irish was, then came covid and i just think this government really believes it can do what it wants. The irish dont mind a recession, will lockdown for the betterment of everybody but i think they hate smugness and arrogance. This government has that in abundance and i really think it is all going to turn on them.
For Martin to say we were not bailed out, christ.
They think they have the young on there side and that all the young are progressive liberals but they have read that wrong too.
It has to get worse before it gets better. It cant possibly get worse and the key is to never ever forget what they done.

The only far right are in the National Association Zombie Idiots of the European Peoples Party and their fellow travellers in the Banderite party in Kiev. These clowns have disarmed them selves voluntarily and are now cutting their defence budgets while at the same time claiming that Russia will invade Europe while they openly boast about waging a guerrilla war against Russia

I thought that too. The European elite have destroyed their military. Imported hordes of people who are implacably hostile to them. Wasted obscene amounts is money featherbedding these wasters. Destroyed their industrial base and food production and are now wondering what they will do if the Russians attack. Decades of utterly stupid decisions are about to come home to them

Alison O Connor is painful. She is the busybody sanctimonious Mammy sticking her nose into everything and expecting everyone to jump to her nonsense.

The echo chamber of elitist south Dublin progressive “horse shit” continues to deflect from the fact their ideologically captured world view of “liberal” Ireland is a ruse and the ordinary citizens of Ireland are sick to the back teeth of their gaslighting and utter nonsense. Its time to finish the job Ireland, remove the incumbent political class and their legacy media “liberal” activist mouthpieces and NGO leeches from Irish society once and for all in the upcoming local, european and national general elections

Wow she majorly out of touch with people. Is she one of these upper middle class types who thinks all people in working class estates are illiterate and 2 meals away from a criminal act .?

Should NGOs like NWCI be allowed to spend money they receive from the Government on political campaigns?
