The government’s new Health Referral Scheme for first-time drug offenders will lead to the “steady normalisation” of drug use in Ireland, Independent Ireland TD Ken O’Flynn warned.
In a statement to Gript, O’Flynn called the policy “another step in the wrong direction.” He questioned the government’s consistency, contrasting the scheme with recent remarks by Tánaiste Simon Harris.
