Taoiseach “out of touch” over St. Patrick “undocumented” migrant comments

Senator Sharon Keogan has said Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is “out of touch” with the Irish people after comments he made abroad about St. Patrick.

Speaking at an event for Irish diaspora in Boston, Varadkar said that Ireland’s patron saint was “a migrant” and “a single, male, undocumented one”.

“The story of St Patrick teaches us that migration is nothing new. It has always been part of our national story,” he said.

Critics have pointed out that the young Briton who would later become Ireland’s patron saint and arguably its most famous symbol was brought to Ireland as a slave, and not through a process of regular migration.

Questioning what St. Patrick means to Varadkar, Senator Keogan said that the Taoiseach “needs to listen to the people.” adding that “comments like that, clearly shows how out of touch he is with what’s happening in this country.”

Referring to an ongoing situation where dozens of tents have been erected around the International Protection Office on Mount Street, Dublin as growing numbers of single male asylum seekers are not provided with state accommodation, Senator Keogan questioned what the Taoiseach’s comments mean to the men in those tents.

“We have to control our borders, if we do not control our borders, more of what is happening in Dublin with those tent cities is going to become the norm for many, many, many of our cities throughout this country.”

She continued, “That is not what we want. That is not who we are.”

Turning her attention to the June elections she slammed the lack of opposition within the government saying that parties were “in lockstep along every step of the way with every measure that this government has introduced over the last number of years.”

Speaking of the upcoming Migration Pact due in April, Keogan said, “we have an opportunity to opt in or opt out” adding that she would be calling on the government to opt out.

Reffing to the state of play in the country she said Ireland needs to “get our own house in order.”

Senator Keogan said she hoped that TDs were “awake” to the realities of what’s going on in Ireland and that it should not always be left to the Seanad “to stand up to save the country from reckless government policies that this government is determined to introduce before they exit stage,”.

So the man who is destroying Christianity in Ireland is invoking the man who brought Christianity to Ireland .
This just gets more and more surreal.

Surreal also is the fact that most of the undocumented males of whom Leo is championing, would gladly cut his throat because of his sexuality, if he lived in the countries from whence they come.!
Strange world.!

There is a difference between being out of touch and straight out lying to fit the narrative!
Varadkar went through the Irish school system, as we all did, and we all know that Patrick was brought to Ireland as a slave. He was not an economic migrant, supported by a regime offering free money! The people who are being rewarded from our tax money for coming to Ireland (helped by the UN and initiated by the EU) are being brought as replacement voters. Eventually, these people will either live off the state forever, or become criminals (or both!) , or they will get cheap labour slave-like jobs.
In the mean-time, the family is no longer a supported concept, young girls are being told that they almost have a ‘duty’ due to climate-change (warm and cold! In Ireland we use the term ‘changeable’ for more than 100 hundred years!) to abort perfectly healthy children, old people, people with a disability or are depressed and the unemployed are getting ‘euthanasia’ structures and laws being set up, akin to what is happening in Canada! Meanwhile, Klaus Schwab is talking like Hitler about getting rid of ‘Useless People’, while supporting the immigration of people, who will be useless for generations! With this, he only means ‘Useless white people’! Leo’s Mentor in the WEF Davos crowd!
As the legal methods are being blocked-off by the globalists, which includes Varadkar, FFG and SF, then we have to take an example from our ancestors and how they gained their freedom. We need to set up our own parallel party-structures, media, agrecultural-system and economy and defend these however we must. I think the older members of Sinn Féin and FFG, will know what I mean and they should take action to exit from parties that are now structures, who are just using the same party name, but are no longer within the same democratic republican space as used to be the case! In fact, their main objective is to force globalist ideologies and poverty into Ireland, so that we are weakened and forced to succumb to their demands!

Excellent analysis. Brilliant point about the more traditional elements of establishment parties. If they can garner what is left of logic and have any self awareness it would be a good time to peel away now. No confidence votes in all the current leaders would be a great starting place.

I don’t recall St. Patrick being covered with gang-identifying tattoos, smuggling lethal drugs, engaging in sex trafficking or any criminal activity for that matter. Shall I go on?

I’m sick to death of these so-called leaders.

Is the leader of our country really comparing a saint from just across the water in Wales who was brought to Ireland against his will as a slave to illegal fighting age male invaders that deliberately come here from the middle East & North Africa i.e. half way around the world & then lie & abuse the term “refugee by claiming to be refugees themselves all the while living off the Irish tax payer & robbing us blind. Refugees should seek short term”refuge” in the nearest available safe place. I can’t believe the world is so messed up that there isn’t a single safe place between Ireland & the middle east!

Wow, I thought it was just the Irish Electorate that Leo was gaslighting, would have never thought he’d stoop so low as to gaslight St Patrick! Leo’s really clutching at straws now, his behavior is becoming more & more desperate !

Oh, the Migration Pact is coming up in April. This is the most important thing for us, as important as the Constitution referendum. The most important news of the day. We have a choice of opting out, ourselves and Denmark have that choice. That’s what I hear them saying. Seems we signed under these conditions. We must OPT OUT. It will stop the deluge. Stop them giving our housing away over the heads of the Irish. We must rally hard to get them to opt out.
A very good anti-immigration election candidate in Donegal, Niall McConnell. He has some good videos. He will be running for East Donegal in the local elections and all of Donegal in the general elections.
Varadkar should not be lecturing on St. Patrick. The pagan feminists stole St. Brigid’s Day, they call her a goddess and the matron saint of Ireland. Bitches. There are no matron saints. She is a patron saint, along with St. Patrick. Varadkar knows nothing about our history. Does he think everyone had ID coming to Ireland but St.Patrick didn’t have any? Or does he think one could just pick up a pen and scribble something down? He is making a mockery of our history and our much persecuted Catholic religion. He is trying to spoil it all.

David Sheridan

Varadkar is a WEF young leader. This remark, which is utterly false, shows exactly where he stands on unregulated immigration. The man is a liar, as his lie about St. Patrick shows, and a traitor to Ireland. He and his coterie need to be removed from office immediately.

The arrogance of this misrepresentation of St Patrick is mind bogglingly contemptuous.

They are often unskilled or low skilled. They get the same pay as Irish who do the same work, not less. These low skilled workers get the lowest pay, but they still get the minimum rate per hour. Lots of people go through an unskilled phase in their life and they take low paying jobs after leaving school or when a student. Glad to get a few bob. That’s the way I felt. Too much pity for them and their low pay. They often work in the fast junk food industry. They should be at home, not here, bringing in drugs and taking up much needed accomodation. Far too many ugly grease kips, where they work. Not needed. Close half of them down.

Yet again, another example of how Varadker is intellectually limited. ‘St Patrick was an undocumented migrant’

You see, Leo, you are applying 21st-century norms and terminology to ancient history, and that means you’re ignorant about history. Not just Irish history but the history of the entire planet

Let’s face it, it is not only Joe (did you see Johnson nodding during his SotN Speech?)! 3 branches of government have sold their soul to the AIPAC (Jewish lobby!), the companies of Big Pharma and Military industrial complex (all the same people own the banks as well as the majority of shares in these companies)! Even the supreme courts are filled on a partisan basis. Currently, the majority of the judges in SCOTUS are conservative, but this is the only fact that is currently holding up their constitution. Otherwise, it would be gone! The real foreign policy decisions since 1948 are basically decided by the National Security Council (NSC) and the CIA and they are not allowed to be questioned by any democratic institutions (other than the President! Maybe de-funding by Congress?). Unconstitutional I would say, as this new branch of government is not mentioned there! Even what the president describes in the state of the nation address, is usually lies about foreign policy. This usually remains secret! Only the mass production of bananas is missing!

Saint Patrick was a born again Christian not part of any religion not a Catholic or protestant or any other religion for that matter,he was kidnapped and brought to Ireland as a slave, but escaped and went home, however God gave him a vision to return to PAGAN Ireland to preach the GOSPEL to the heathen as he stated himself in his surviving letters. His personal letters are there for all to see,but we then have pagan religions jumping on the bandwagon and try to claim him as their own and parade his memory in sin and debauchery across the world instead of listening to the Gospel ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ ,he was like John the Baptist in that he must decrease and Christ would increase..we elevate Christ Only not ourselves ..Jesus said when men speak well of you beware they are being used in false apostasy. Patrick is a saint in heaven like the prophets and saints gone before and after him. That’s his eternal reward not glory from sinful man. I remember Patrick as a fellow brother in Christ who is gone to his eternal reward ,where God says to him “welcome good and faithful servant, enter in to your rest…

He seems like he’s intentionally winding us up at this stage! but we know he doesn’t give a stuff for the Irish people, this speech would have been playing to the ‘liberalism’ of US democrats etc, regardless of how perceived here. no? He’ll have multiple exits so why care.

One thing that needs saying, the members of FF, FG, Greens who are tolerating their leadership are to blame for the position we find ourselves in. Any person who votes for any of these traitors is to blame, any person who canvases for these politicians is to blame. Stop facilitating these traitors and what they are up to, no excuses. They need to be boycotted like the old days because they are destroying our country.

F. Dooley

Every word out of this man is a lie, how on earth did someone who scraped in during the last election and whose government was effectively voted out still ends up in power. It’s very obvious he is working for someone other than the Irish people, a very dangerous individual who is destroying this country with lots of help of course from FF and the Greens. Truly very sad what he’s been allowed to get away with with virtually no pushback from the so called media except Gript. Our country is in a very perilous position demographically and just like what’s happened in London it won’t be long before Paddy is a foreigner in his own land.
