The British-based “counter-extremism” think tank, the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD), has secured observer status with the Irish media regulator, Coimisiún na Meán, granting the organisation formal access to the statutory body responsible for regulating online discourse.
ISD, which specialises in combating what it describes as misinformation and extremist narratives online, received the designation through an initiative of the Global Online Safety Regulators Network (GOSRN), of which Coimisiún na Meán is a constituent member.
