A new poll published in the UK shows a significant decline in the proportion of the public who agree that a person who is transgender has the right to have the sex recorded on their birth certificate changed if they want.
The percentage of those polled who agree with that contention has fallen by 23 percentage points – from 53% to 30% – since 2019, according to a recent poll from the National Centre for Social Research.
