The past week has been a bad one for Polish sovereignty, courtesy of an alliance between LGBT activists and liberal politicians, who are actively working to see same-sex marriage shoehorned into a country that even in 2026 remains deeply divided on whether or not to change the country’s laws governing these matters.
Late last week the city of Warsaw complied with a court order to transcribe a same-sex marriage between two Polish men, that took place in Germany, into its civil registry, the first time in the country’s history that a same-sex relationship has been legally recognised.
