Dublin city is still without a Metro system. There is no rail link from Dublin airport to anywhere. The main street O’Connell Street named after the Liberator whose 250th anniversary falls this year is, like London’s Oxford Street, a bit of a dump. The only difference is that the British have a plan to improve Oxford Street to make it pedestrian whereas whatever plan there is for O’Connell street will go as smoothly as the plan for the tea rooms.
