A recent exchange I had with Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe has gone viral online, after I asked him to respond to comments made by David McWilliams in the Irish Times.
McWilliams, who is one of the most mainstream economists in the country – hardly a far-right agitator – argued that in order to have any realistic chance of stabilising house prices, the level of immigration into Ireland would need to be at least halved.
