Activist Panti Bliss has been slammed online for tweets he made in relation to a women’s rights campaigner who was attacked at a rally in New Zealand last Friday.
This comes as Irish trans rights activists (TRAs) are planning to hold a counter demonstration at the Let Women Speak event due to take place on the 15th of April in Dublin.
The event, which is to be hosted by women’s rights campaigner Kellie Jay Keen, is an open forum where women are given an opportunity to speak publicly about their views on topics including biological males accessing female spaces like toilets and changing rooms.
One such event held in Auckland New Zealand last Friday saw trans rights activists attack Keen pouring tomato soup over her amid chaotic scenes where crowd control fencing was broken through and one elderly woman was punched in the face by a man.

Keen said another woman suffered a broken foot in the fray which she says caused her to fear for her life.

After the violent trans rights activist demonstration in Auckland, Keen had to be put under police protection until she was able to leave the country.
Among those critical of the women’s event are drag artist Rory O’Neill (Panti Bliss) who warned that Keen would “learn again in Dublin” after saying that Keen “failed to recognise” how her “colonialist” presence would be received in “the colonies” regarding her recent tour of Australia and New Zealand.
He also accused Keen of viewing herself as a “superior Brit” and assuming that her “little subjects” would ‘welcome her with open arms’.

Critics have accused O’Neill of inciting violence against women in relation to his comments.
You live in a country which has the most hateful history with regards to women. How can you justify this appalling incitement to violence? A 70 year old was punched in the face, do you have nothing to say about that?

Oh look. All the TERFs are flying in from GB for P0sie P@raker’s fascist gathering, in order to tell Irish women how they should speak. pic.twitter.com/W7rSmMgPO0

Trans rights activist Bernie Linanne, who is publicising the demonstration, described Let Women Speak as “imported transphobia” claiming that “Self-ID for Gender Recognition Certs” have caused “no reports of harm to anyone” in Ireland over the last eight years.
Ireland has had Self-ID for Gender Recognition Certs for 8 years with no reports of harm to anyone. That doesn't sit well with UK terfs & transphobes who need a moral panic to oppose the introduction of Self-ID there. What's happening now is imported transphobia.
Don't buy it. pic.twitter.com/Ive51pk7IA— Bernie Linnane 🏳️⚧️ (@Berlinnaeus) March 27, 2023
Just pointing out that I'll be re-blocking any previously blocked terfs and transphobes who reappear on my timeline. I wouldn't debate trans rights with you before. I won't do it now.

A man with a history of violent tweets calling for women to be "smashed out existence" and who keeps "tabs on TERFs" thinks it's hilarious that a woman was surrounded by a mob while another man threw soup on her. @gardainfo #LetWomenSpeakDublin https://t.co/xTtFtsgS6c pic.twitter.com/uxf72UhZQo
