Number of migrant tents along grand canal climbs to around 100

By yesterday evening, the migrant encampment along the Grand Canal had grown to around 100 tents along both sides of the water.

This represents a significant increase in the number of tents in the area since Saturday, when there were only around 50 – meaning the encampment has roughly doubled in size in the space of just 3 days.

The local resident asked the right question. Why let them in? Because we don’t have an immigration system that works. Denmark does. It’s not fucking rocket science.

It’s fully intentional. The more that are brought in the harder to get rid of them when the time comes and the more media will focus on the “hard cases” like dear old Pamela Izevbekhai who had 6 different legal teams – all paid for by you (over 1m) until after 6 years we finally got rid of her!

Under a Nationalist Government we’ll detain and deport scammers like the one you’ve mentioned. They can launch an appeal from outside the country via an embassy with zero access to Irish-tax-payer funded legal assistance

Serious question – when there’s another storm (say, of a “yellow” or “red” warning status) – and – NOTE – I do not wish misery on these people (whatever my views on the “influx”) – what’s the likely consequence for these “habitations” ? One thing for certain is that – in event of such a storm – RTE – or some other scoundrel element of the MSM – will pen a piece: “How Climate Change is Impacting Asylum Seekers camped on the Canal” !!!!

Ben, the lead is buried. You touched on it. Why not go further? Investigate who is providing the tents. If it is Lighthouse charity, a charity established to support construction workers, we should be asking them why.

You are clearly deluded about Sinn Fein/MI5. They will solve nothing. They speak out of both sides of their mouths… they can be no more trusted than FG, FF, Labour, Greens et al.

Auld stock – no miracle seems to be beyond “you and the boys” – a friend of mine’s 40 year old Lada won’t start – an incantation of “Tiocfaidh ar La” from the entire membership of “The Council” would be much appreciated !

Sinn Féin’s fundamental problem is not whether their claim to have navigated a U turn on their previously stated position that they were opposed to any upper limit on immigration of ‘asylum seekers’ carries any credibility with voters. People will make up their own minds on that.
Their fundamental problem is that , like other former Nationalist parties in Europe , their attempt to perform a magician’s trick and redefine what Nationalism is has not worked. An honest approach, again as it would have been for other former Nationalist parties in Europe , would have been to announce that they were no longer a Nationalist party but had undergone an idealogical transformation and were now Marxist Globalists.
However , rather than be open and honest about it , and presumably in an effort to falsely claim consistency, they tried to pull a fast one and simply change the perception of what Nationalism means. It was never going to work in Ireland. Irish people have a far too deep awareness of what Nationalism is ,and means, to fall for anybody suddenly telling them that it now means something entirely different. Sinn Fein can be forgiven for their change of direction and those who oppose their change of direction can decide that they no longer wish to support them. What they cannot be forgiven for is completely changing direction and assuming that everyone is stupid enough to believe that the change of direction has not occurred at all.
Because Sinn Féin’s attempted sleight of hand has been an utter failure nobody considers them to be a Nationalist part any longer and everyone knows that true Nationalism means something entirely different than what Sinn Fein now stands for. Sinn Fein might as well accept this and stop trying to be two things at once because that never works in the long run and only attracts hostility, as we have seen, from those that they attempt to deceive.

Just refresh yourself about CindyLou’s comments in East Wall last year and about her own constituents – totally open border and everyone who disagrees is far-right, fascist, rascist etc etc. Great rep to have in the Dail.

While I in no way encourage this behaviour (😁), I’ve seen quite a few SF election posters getting graffitied down in the southeast, things like “liar” and “traitor” scrawled on them.

They only went up today, someone was ballsy enough to tag them in broad daylight 😂

Would you support a decision by Ireland to copy the UK's "Rwanda Plan", under which asylum seekers are sent to the safe - but third world - African country instead of being allowed to remain here?
