Did Judge George Birmingham not get the memo? In his report on the threat of terrorist violence in Ireland, he specifically mentioned “Islamic terrorism”, adding that legislation designed to counter threats from terrorism is weak and outdated. How could he? Did he not know that Official Ireland decided at the start of mass immigration that our society was immune to such problems, and anyone who thought otherwise was a bigot and a racist? (That would be me, by the way).
Here’s the thing. Those who denounced the few sceptics of mass immigration have been rewarded for their blind stupidity, while their targets have largely been marginalised. When Mark Dooley, an avowed conservative on this issue, was invited on The Late Late Show, there awaiting him were those grandees of PC sanctimony, Fintan O’Toole and Shalini Sinha, with the usual ‘racist’ taunts. When around the same time, I warned about the potentially murderous consequences of uncontrolled immigration, Michael D. Higgins TD wrote: “The Irish Times, through Kevin Myers, has, once again, reached the sewer level of journalism…The contents of his column today go far beyond his usually-crafted cowardice…”
