The mother of a little girl who suffered life-altering injuries during a knife attack outside a school on Dublin’s Parnell Square in November 2023 described how she knew something was wrong when she saw a call pop up on her phone from the child’s creche.
The woman, who cannot be identified to protect the child’s anonymity, said she had felt unwell that morning but decided to go to work after feeling a bit better and made her way towards Parnell Square with her child.
